Lily was a champ today at the doctor. We had an 8:15 appointment because Lily's happiest time of the day is early in the morning. She smiled while Dr. Lippman was examining her. Then it came time for the drink and 2 shots. She took the drink no problem. She cried for about 30 seconds from the shots and then it was back to "morning Lily". She had no reaction to the shots either!

Lily's first day of "school"

I went back to work on Friday, April 3rd. Lily had her first day at "school". It was a lot harder to leave her than I had expected. Michael came with me to drop her off for support. I cried the entire way to work, it's a good thing I have a short commute. I was able to go and see her at lunch which made things a lot easier for me. Today is Lily's first day with Grammy. Grammy said Lily was a good girl. Lily napped well and was a very good eater.

Cubs Opening Day!
2 months!

Lily is 2 months old, it's amazing how fast the time goes. She's very alert, will roll to her one side from time to time and can focus and follow you most of the time. We go to the doctor on Saturday for shots and to see how much she weighs. She's been a champ lately with sleeping as well. She'll sleep from 9pm to 2:30am, eat and back to bed by 3, sleep until around 5:30, eat again and then it depends on how she's feeling that day. She'll either go back to sleep for an hour or two or she'll be up for an hour or two. My favorite time of the day is when she first wakes up. She's so excited to see you that she's all smiles and very "talkative".

Lily meets the Easter Bunny!
Michael's Projects continue...
We got an estimate on the bay window/window seat, and it's not going to happen. We'd have to change the roof line in order to make it work. We've ordered the 3 regular windows and they'll be in around 6-8 weeks. We were a little disappointed and know we could do it if we invested the money, but for the cost we'd rather build a 3 season room. Our kitchen floor will be installed on Wednesday!! Michael has already started on some of the outdoor work. He's removed 2 big shrubs and a tree (which was dying). We still have A LOT of yard work to do. I think this summer will be more of a removal of everything, and plant grass. Next summer we'll plant things that we'd like and that are easier to take care of. Michael has also finished his last indoor project, he installed the kitchen sink and faucet! I'll post pictures after the floors are in.
