Kicking off Christmas!

We went to the tree lighting ceremony in downtown Libertyville. It was cold, but we layered and poor Lily looked like Randy from A Christmas Story. :) Santa rides in on a firetruck and once he finally arrived and lit the tree Lily said "Ho!Ho!Ho!" and then "Home Bean and Winnie".

Happy Thanksgiving

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with the Janzen's. We tried again to get a picture of the 3 grandkids and of course, no luck. Uncle Jack and Aunt Beth joined us and I think the kids kept them entertained.

Catching up

I know that I'm really behind on the blog, I do really well for a few weeks and then life takes over and I fall behind. I'm sure that will happen often once Olivia arrives. :) Lily transitioned into her big girl bed and for the most part it went well. She's still taking about a 45 minute to an hour nap, and bedtime hasn't changed much. She does wake up a little scared from naps once in a while, but other than that, not bad.

Here are some pictures of Lily from November.

Classes

Lily's gymnastics (tumbling) class has ended, and her music class has started. She loves her music class, and I don't think she'll miss her tumbling class at all. Lily loves to dance and listen to her music. There should be an "open gym" type music class for toddlers. Have a place where they can go and dance around in a big group and burn off some energy.

Children's Neighborhood

We went to the Children's Neighborhood Play area on Monday. There weren't that many people there, so it was great. Lily had a lot of fun and even tried some new things this time.

Trick or Treat and Pumpkin Carving

We carved pumpkins this morning and then took Lily trick or treating in our cul-de-sac. Lily also had her first piece of trick or treats (a bite of 3 musketeers).

Bootcamp

My nephew Shawn left for boot camp last week. Here's a picture of him in his fatigues. We're all very proud of him and miss him terribly.
