Telling the families

June 11th & 12th - We had a bit of a rough year and decided that this time we weren't going to wait to tell our parents about this pregnancy, like we had in the past. We decided that we would have Lily hold a sign, like she did for her monthly milestone pictures, to announce that she's going to be a big sister. Lily wasn't really happy with this idea, as you can tell by the photos. :) We're not sure if she was mad about the photoshoot or about becoming a big sister. With both of our mom's birthday's just a day apart, we figured it was a great opportunity as we would all be together. I was just over 6 weeks, so I was a little nervous, but I was also feeling sick already, so hopeful. Our families are very excited about our new addition. My due date is February 2nd, 2011 (4 days before Lily's 2nd birthday).

Happy Birhday Michael!

Emma and Lily helping Michael open presents
June 29th - Like I said earlier, June is a busy month for us. Happy Birthday Michael! We celebrated Michael's birthday today at our house. We had a good evening and were able to sit outside for a while before dinner, which was nice.

More doctor's appointments

June 28th - We went to see Dr. Tyler again today. Baby J and I are doing well. He gave me a prescription for Zofran to help with the nausea and hope it works with the dry heaves and gagging as well. We shall see. We didn't get to hear the heartbeat today either, but did get another ultrasound. :) No pictures this time because the machine malfunctioned. :(

Happy Father's Day!

June 20th - We spent the morning visiting with my dad, and then the afternoon with Michael's dad. Michael got to celebrate Father's day in the evening. We had a fun packed day and hope all the dad's had a great day!

Birthday Parties and new babies!

mmm..cupcakes!
what do you mean I can't eat this potato?

Jaxon was showing Lily the ropesShe caught on quick.

June 19th - Happy 2nd Birthday Jaxon! Today we went to a birthday party at the Children's Neighborhood Museum in Round Lake (http://www.rlapd.org/programs-childrens-museum.cfm) to celebrate Jaxon's 2nd birthday. Jaxon not only turned 2, but he's also a big brother of 2 new siblings. Christy and James welcomed Sammy and Ali On June 15th. Christy was a champ and even attended the party, while grandma & grandpa watched the twins. Lily had a great time and we'll definitely be visiting the museum again. We didn't stay for all the present openings because I started to feel badly again, and we had to get Lily home for a nap.

Doctor's visits

June 17th, Today we got to see Dr. Tyler for Baby J and to hear the heartbeat. He wasn't able to find one, so we got an ultrasound…all is well! He wants us back in 2 weeks. I'm having a much harder time with this pregnancy than I did with Lily. With Lily I wasn't sick a single day, as long as I ate, I was fine. This time…ha! I have no appetite and I gag (more than usual) at everything. I gagged over wet coffee grounds today. I'm also getting the dry heaves at least 5-7 times a day. Mornings are pretty rough and late evenings.

Mom L's Birthday!

June 12th, Happy 60th Birthday mom! We had a surprise party for my mom today, and a surprise was an understatement. Michael and I had a house guest for a couple of days, my Aunt Dottie came in from Florida to be here for my mom's party. I live furthest from my parents, so there was no chance of her seeing her over by me. I even talked to my mom on the way back from the airport with her in the car. :) We did a "Sock-Hop" theme for her party and had it at Peterson Park in McHenry. All her siblings were able to make it but 1, my Uncle George wasn't feeling well. She had a great time and one of her gifts was also a photo collage of Lily. Here's her reaction:
