We had a great Christmas. Finly received presents from friends and family and he/she's not even here yet. :) Both of our families are very excited and anxious for Finly to arrive (as are we).
I finally got around to setting up the crib. The mobile is up, sheets are clean and ready, blanket is on (for now), and the bumpers are on. YEAH! We're about 90% done with the room and should finish in the next week or so.
We had our 36 week appointment today. Finly is head down, but not low at all. Dr. Lee commented that I could be late. It must be a girl, she'll be late like her mom. ;) We now go to the doctor for weekly check ups. We'll discuss another ultrasound at next weeks appointment. This would be to gauge the size of Finly. Michael and I were both large babies, so there's some concern that Finly will be as well.
As for me...I'm getting bigger by the day. I'm also suffering from insomnia (there's a shocker), and I've started to have really bad pains in my fingers for the last week or so. The good thing is the leg cramps have seem to gone away, but now the fingers hurt. Dr. Lee said it's like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and it should go away after Finly arrives.
We hope everyone has a Happy, Healthy and Safe New Years!

Traditions...

December 14th,
Michael and I joined his parents for breakfast at the Walnut Room. Michael and his family have been doing this tradition for many years! After breakfast we did a little shopping, and of course stopped in the FAO Schwarz area. We purchased Finly a floor activity set and a new bunny (Michael and I both had bunnies as a child that were our "favorites"). Finly's grandparents purchased him a Teddy Bear that will still be bigger than him/her at 5!

December 20th,
We celebrated another tradition with the Janzen family today. We went to the Goodman Theater to see A Christmas Carol, and then headed to Lawry's for dinner. We had a wonderful time (as always). We played a little trivia on the way down, did a Christmas Mad Lib, and a word search. I really made the drive to the city go pretty quick. It was pretty cold and started to snow while we there, but made it feel more like Christmas.

Baby Shower #2

Grammy Janzen and Aunt Gwen threw a shower for Finly. We had a wonderful time, and got to see a lot of family we haven't in a while. Michael's cousin Cyndi even came in from California. We got a lot of presents, and the nursery is almost complete. We will post pictures as soon as we're done. I've been busy writing out my thank you cards.
The top pictures is of the blanket that Michael's 90 year old grandmother made for Finly!

Double digits!!!
We're down to 94 days! I can't believe we're in double digits now. We went to the doctor on Tuesday for a checkup. I got a flu shot, my arm is still red. Finly's heartbeat was great. I'm measuring on target for weight and size. I also had my glucose test, that was gross! We got the results back today, and I'm fine. We did find out that I have a mild case of anemia, but we knew that was a possibility.

We've got wood!

The top photo is from the previous owners, the bottom one is with a few changes we've made (and we've already made a few more since this photo was taken). We had the berber carpet removed and had the cherry wood floors installed. We LOVE it! The girls are still getting used to having wood floors again.
