No more tears!

Lily has finally gotten to the point where she likes bath time. Her bath time is so quick and tearful that we don't even try to get pictures of her. It's in and out as fast as possible. Michael and I always dreaded bath time as much as Lily did, we didn't like to see her get so upset. She now will kick, smile and eat her fingers!

Hands + Swing = Happy Lily

I'm not sure what Lily likes more, her hands or her swing! This was taken this morning before I left for work. I got Lily all dressed and ready to go, she was waiting for Grammy to come and get her. I set her in the swing so I could finish getting ready. I had to stop what I was doing to get the camera out to take pictures. She was having such a fun time "talking" to herself in the little mirror and sucking on her hands. Of course, I get the camera out and she stop talking so I didn't get a video of it.

Sorry the pictures aren't centered, but the swing was swinging.

Next Generation!

My dad and brother restored the highchair that Michael and his family have used for over 40 years. We're looking forward to passing it down for many more generations to come. Here's a picture of Michael asleep in it with his "Bun" and what it looks like now. We had it stained a dark cherry color so it went with our dining room set. We're all very pleased with the way it turned out. Dad and Jimy, you did an amazing job! Thank you!

Lily's Baptism

April 19th, Lily was baptised by Deacon George Kashmar at St. Joseph Church in Libertyville. Her godparents are my two sisters. Lily was a very good girl. She didn't cry when they blessed her with oil or water. This was pretty impressive since Lily doesn't like to get a bath. I gave her a bath in the morning and she didn't cry (this was a first), I wonder if she knew it was a big day for her. Lily was a little fussy in the beginning, but then she fell asleep. We're very proud of her.

We had everyone back to our place for a little party after the ceremony. Michael worked really hard to get the yard ready before everyone would be over. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate so no one got to see all the work he's done.

Lily got her Woobie!

I had a woobie when I was young, it was purple and green. I wore it out to the point that you could see all the way through. I don't mean worn out like the material was thin, I mean it as in there's a hole on the back, middle and front. You can literally "see through" it. I still have it in a bag in the closet. Here's a picture of Lily with her woobie that grandma made.

Kitchen floors!

We had our kitchen floors done this past week. We decided to go with the wood that we have in the family room so they would flow better together. We were thinking about tile, but I'm happy we went with the wood. Kitchen windows were installed yesterday as well. We're done with the inside home projects for now, we have a bunch of outside projects to do. Michael has tackled a lot of the outside already. I'll post pictures soon.

Here are before and after pictures of the kitchen floor.

Happy 1st Easter, Lily!

I took it easy on the pups today, I figure Bean and Winnie have had enough stress over the last 9 weeks. I didn't need to add to it by putting bunny ears on them, and subjecting them to photo after photo. Lily on the other hand wasn't so lucky. Bean and Winnie will not be so lucky next holiday either. ;)

This Easter was with Michael's parents. Chris, Gwen and Emma couldn't join us this year because Emma has croup. We hope she gets well soon.
